Borussia Dortmund fans hoping to challenge for the Bundesliga title this season could be left disappointed as sporting director Michael Zorc says the clubs aim is make the Champions League.
Bayern Munch have dominated the German league in recent seasons and have strengthened their squad with the signings of Mats Hummels from Dortmund and Portugal international Renato Sanches this summer.

Dortmund by contrast have lost key players as well as Hummels with Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Ilkay Gundogan moving to the Premier League to join Manchester United and Manchester City respectively.
Andre Schurrle and the returning Mario Gotze have been added to the squad over the summer but Zorc does not expect them to challenge for the title.

Dortmund lost the German Super Cup to rivals Bayern Munch at the weekend
‘Of course we are not yet at the level where we want to be,’ Zorc said on Eurosport.
‘It would be presumptuous to always expect a title. Our objective remains Champions League qualification.
‘We will try to make this season the best we can with our conditions.
‘We believe that we are well equipped for the start of the season.’
