Canadian founders Dan and Dean Caten have announced their delight at being able to link up with Manchester City ahead of their highly anticipated showdown with Barcelona.

Manchester City senior vice president of partnerships for City Football Group Damian Willoughby said of the club’s new agreement: ‘DSQUARED2 and Manchester City share many important brand values.

‘We both believe in the importance of attention to detail, providing the best experience and constantly challenging ourselves to be at the top of our game.

‘Throughout the partnership, we will collaborate to highlight the best features of our brands and supporters, bringing the past, present and future together.

The whole outfit costs £1,735 – with the bomber jacket alone checking in at £670 on the company’s website.

The grey pullover as worn by Guardiola and his players comes in at a cool £325.

It comes after Wednesday’s opponents, Barcelona, started rocking the double denim look when travelling to their away matches as part of a tie-in with fashion label Replay.

The attire worn by Lionel Messi, Neymar, Andres Iniesta and Co prompted a fair few raised eyebrows though the double denim look is enjoying something of a renaissance.
